Mary Ann Byrnes
Co-Founder and CEO
Mary Ann brings extensive global business experience to the Konacom team. Prior to Konacom, Mary Ann has served as CEO of several venture backed companies, including Citizen Sports, a consumer internet company, Logictier, a pioneer in cloud computing, and Corsair Communications, a provider of software, system security and billing for the wireless industry, where she completed an IPO. She began her career in wireless as the VP of sales, marketing and customer operations at AT&T Wireless (Cellular One Bay Area).
Mary Ann is a strong believer in the transformative effect broadband brings to global communities, and is committed to providing broadband internet access to people and schools around the world. She has served on both public and private company boards and non-profits. She believes in giving back to the community, and is active with a number of non-profit organizations.
Mary Ann has an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wellesley College.
Co-Founder & CTO
Peter drives our technology vision and strategy--leading our team of engineers and technology professionals to deliver innovative new cloud-based wireless broadband technologies.
Peter co-founded and served as CTO of Spectrum Bridge where he pioneered the dynamic allocation of spectrum for next generation wireless networks with a cloud-based platform. Prior to Spectrum Bridge, he was co-founder and CTO of MeshNetworks, where he was responsible for managing the strategic business and technical aspects of product development and operations. As a true innovator, Peter has authored 53 patents in wireless internet. Earlier in his career, Peter was CTO & Founder of Phoenix Wireless Group, and a Director and VP of Abraxas International.
Co-Founder, VP Operations & Engineering
Jeff directs all product development strategy, network design, and network operations at Konacom.
He has extensive experience in the wireless communications and broadband internet industries at firms including Spectrum Bridge, Motorola, MeshNetworks, Comsat, and Lockheed Martin.
As an innovator, Jeff has been instrumental in developing new broadband communications technologies, obtained FCC type acceptance on numerous products, deployed large scale networks and authored 31 patents in this field. He holds MSEE and BSE (magna cum laude) degrees from the University of Central Florida and published papers on antenna design and spectrum policy.
